Infant and Toddler

In August, the theme is WATER – the children will learn about water through song, book, pictures, puzzle and arts and will decorate a board with their crafts.  Watch out for the classroom boards showing off childrens’ work.

They will enjoy outdoor water play as well as we will take every opportunity to spend time in the parks surrounding us. When appropriate we may also join the Montessori children for some water-fun activities together.

Daycare Montessori

Reminders-please ensure that children have appropriate shoes to play at the park, a water bottle, sunscreen and a hat to make sure that the children are ready for summer fun.

This August we will have much of the fun activities, with the triple park adventures, picnicking at Maple Grove and playing in the sprinkler. The children will also be making some more wonderful snacks like fruit salad,, fruit smoothies.

Our theme this month will be 'WATER' , the children will be exploring the importance , quality and different uses (eg freezing) of water along with some geographical facts and the importance of conservation of water.

NOTE :

1.     Please advise us of your plans for August so we can plan accordingly – there is a sheet at the sign in desk to facilitate this. Thank you.

2.     As is becoming common practice generally, the Centre is also moving towards a policy of NOT warming food using a microwave .  We would like to request parents to provide food which does not require warming or alternatively provide warm food in thermos containers. We thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

3.     Sunscreen - we would like to encourage you to apply sunscreen before you come to the Centre.
