Summer's here and we are looking forward to an exciting time at the Centre. While keeping this in mind, the best way to get your child ready for summer at the Centre is to ensure that your child has a water bottle that can be left at the centre, a hat, sunscreen, a change of clothes  and appropriate footwear for walking and playing at the park. We would like to encourage you to apply sunscreen before you come to the Centre.

Infant Toddler

In August, the theme is WATER – the children will learn about water through song, book, pictures, puzzle and arts and will decorate a board with their crafts.  Watch out for the classroom boards showing off childrens’ work. We will also learn about underwater creatures.

They will enjoy outdoor water play as well as we will take every opportunity to spend time in the parks surrounding us. When appropriate we may also join the Montessori children for some water-fun activities together.

Daycare Montessori

This summer the children will be busy with different activities each day hiking, picnics, water days ,
Beyond our busy summer plans the children will also be making some fantastic themed artwork that parents can check out on the walls of the classroom .

During August :

Monday – Cooking day

Wednesday – Science day

Friday – Water fun day

The children will learn some simple cooking activities eg baking and making cup cakes etc.

The children will be introduced to some simple and age appropriate science activities which can fascinating for them , where they can experiment , observe and have fun at the same time. The activities will include learning about nature , weather and the world around us.

Please try and give non-warm up lunches for our days out and picnics at the park.

6.     Please ensure you look at your child’s cubby when you are leaving and take home their work etc.

7.      Please inform us as early as possible (by 9am – would be great) if your child is not attending the Centre that day.

8.     May we also suggest that you drop-off your child and leave soon thereafter. This makes the transition much easier and conducive to good start to the day, both for the staff and the children.
